Bread Upma - simple and tasty
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
3 slices whole wheat multigrain bread(You can use use any kind)
Chopped onions-1/4 cup
Green chillies - as per taste
Tomato- 1
Hing- a pinch
Salt
To tamper:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Jeera- 1/2 tsp
Oil- 1 tbsp
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Tamper mustard seeds, jeera and hing.
Fry onions and green chillies till onions turn golden brown.
Add tomatoes, salt and turmeric powder. Fry for a minute or two.
Add very little water(less than 1/4 cup) to the mixture and bring it to a boil. Chop bread into small pieces and add them finally. Switch off the stove and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Voila! It's done in under 10 minutes.

I make this upma too. And sometimes I add vegetables to it.:)

hi, thanx for this superquick and yummy recipe..i pulsed the breadslices in the mixie to a powder and added redchillies instead of green..my husband could not even guess what it was!!..thanku
