Sweet Corn Soup- Fat Free

There is no oil or butter in this soup thus making it fat free and super healthy!
I am sending this recipe to Divya's Diet Foods Event
Ingredients:
Frozen petite sweet corn-2 cups
Cabbage finely chopped-1 tbsp
Beans finely chopped-1 tbsp
Salt
A dash of onion powder
Pepper powder-1/4 tsp or more
Corn flour-1 tbsp
Milk-1/4 cup

Method:
Boil water and corn together till corn turns soft(takes 10 minutes approx). Cool and grind it to a fine paste and pass the ground corn paste through a strainer. In a pan, add this paste, chopped cabbage, beans, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, water(to desired consistency) and boil the mixture for 5 minutes.
Make a thick paste of corn flour with water. Add this as well. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Soup is ready!

  9. Very comforting, and looks great with the green specks.
Mahimaa, may I suggest something... if you can have a recent posts section on your right bar, it would be easier for navigation for your readers like me, I tend to look for previous recipes, and it is kind of roundabout. I know you have the archive section, but it is not that visible. It is just a suggestion, your blog, so you can decide. :)

  19. Mahimaa, which mail? In answer to replacing eggs... maybe silken tofu "might" work or you can try flax seeds (ground and made into a paste)
Either way you will be experimenting.

  22. I would add one more step to it.
After pureeing it, run it through a sieve. This will make the soup smooth!
